The Empire Country Club has some of the finest golfing facilities in the region,

The front nine overlooks the sea from high grounds, while the back nine reaches to the very shores, providing a dramatic finish. In 2005, the course saw Brunei's debut on the international professional golfing circuit with the Brunei Open.

The Empire offers a golf package that includes unlimited play at The Empire Country Club and one round at the exclusive Royal Brunei Golf & Country Club. The later is part of a larger facility called Jerudong Park Country Club that includes an amusement park and a Polo Club. Described by its designer, Ronald Fream, as the "Augusta National of Asia". It is considered one of the best courses in Asia and one of the most exclusive in the world.
