Nestling amidst eucalyptus and pine groves on the scenic banks of the Río de la Plata, the ultra stylish Four Seasons Resort is located in Carmelo, across the river estuary from Buenos Aires and Argentina. Accommodation at the resort is comprised of 20 bungalows and 24 Duplex suites. Each features a private garden and covered patio, wood-burning fireplace and ceilings over 18 feet high. Scented South American woods cover the walls throughout and were also used for the custom designed furniture pieces, such as four-posted and hand-carved beds. In room features include large wardrobe closets, spacious en suite bathrooms and the ultimate communication and entertainment technology.

Four Seasons Resort Carmelo offers a choice of gourmet dining. Pura Restaurant is the resort's main dining room and features and indoor barbecue pit where famous Argentinean beef is cooked on a slanted grill. Mandara Restaurant serves Italian cuisine by candlelight in a exotic setting combining Moorish and Balinese elements. These are complemented by the Shiva and Lobby Lounge, where to enjoy wines by the glass, cocktails or afternoon tea, watching the sunset over Río de la Plata.

With its soothing water pools and fountains, the graceful spa brings an awakening of balanced harmony influenced by the ancient principle of Yin and Yang to the shores of Río de la Plata. This state-of-the-art facility features the whole range of spa treatments, backed by a gymnasium, resting lounge with fireplace and an outdoor infinity pool with Jacuzzi. Further activities at the resort include tennis, river boating, horseback riding and golf.

Four Seasons Golf Club Carmelo's much acclaimed championship course showcases the pristine beauty of its natural surrounding and offers a thrilling challenge for novice and expert players alike. Seamlessly nestling in the coastal wetland and surrounded by rolling hills, the course winds its way around numerous lakes, native trees and ornamental grass outcroppings. The course was so naturally laid out that it looks as if it had always been there.

Gateway to the resort, Buenos Aires is a 3 hour journey to Carmelo, crossing the Rio de la Plata by ferry to Colonia, where guests will be met by the resort complimentary van.
