One of Jamaica's most exclusive resorts, Tryall Club
sits majestically on lush hills overlooking the Caribbean Sea in Montego
Bay, the famous resort on the north-east coast of the island. Nestling
amidst the 2,200 acres of a former sugarcane plantation, Tryall Club is
owned and managed by some fifty homeowners, many associated with the resort
for generations, who have preserved the atmosphere of understated elegance
and graciousness lost at many contemporary resorts. Yet the resort has
kept pace with time, developing into a popular Caribbean destination.
Tryall Club boasts an internationally famous championship course, a private
sandy beach and exclusive villas accommodation.
The historic 18th century Great House is beautifully located on a hill
dominating the golf course and with stunning views of the Caribbean. Breakfast
and dinner are served in the Great House Terrace Restaurant, while lunch
is available at the casual Beach Café Restaurant & Bar. The
Great House also features a Cocktail Bar and a fully stocked commissary.
Tryall offers an unprecedented standard of luxury and privacy, with accommodation
comprising of private Estate Villas and Great House Villas.
Adjacent to the Great House with views of the ocean and golf course are
the one and two bedroom Great House Villas. The one bedroom Villas are
split level with bedroom, bathroom and a small patio on the upper level,
and a full kitchen, dining/living area and porch on the ground floor.
The two bedroom Villas have a large living and dining area with kitchen
and WC, a master bedroom with jacuzzi bath and a twin bedded room with
bathroom. A large deck extends the entire length of the villa. All villas
come with a housekeeper and a cook is available upon request.
Estate Villas range in size from two to seven bedrooms and come fully
staffed with cook, maid, laundress and gardener. All are privately owned
and individually furnished, set in spacious gardens and feature a private
swimming pool. No one villa is alike, yet they do share similarities including
en-suite bathrooms and large living areas.
Tryall Club's hallmark is its championship course, designed in 1958 by
Ralph Plummer and venue of such prestigious international events as the
Johnnie Walker World Championship. One of the most celebrated courses
in the Caribbean, the layout stretches from the oceanside up into the
forested hills, past coconut groves and back down to the sea. This fully
mature course's fairways are lined with blossoming plants and magnificent
trees. In addition to golf, Tryall Club offers a full tennis centre, spa
services and a private sandy beach with a range of non-motorized watersports.
