Rose Hall Resort & Country Club Montego Bay - Jamaica - Caribbean
Rose Hall Resort & Country Club nestles between
the scenic Blue Mountains and turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea in
Montego Bay, the famous resort on the north-east coast of the island.
Standing on what was once a legendary 18th century sugarcane plantation,
Rose Hall is Jamaica's premier all-inclusive resort, offering luxury beachfront
accommodations, twelve restaurants and bars, the island's largest waterpark
and a Robert von Hagge championship golf course.
Accommodation comprises of 488 rooms and suites with mountain, golf and
ocean view. All are lavishly furnished and colourfully decorated in Caribbean
style, featuring individual climate control and private balcony or terrace
overlooking the sea, mountains and golf course. Guestrooms also boast
large screen cable TV, cordless phone with voicemail and high-speed internet
access in all guestrooms, amongst other amenities.
Rose Hall Resort & Country Club offers a host of dining options and
guests can choose between six restaurants, incuding the fine dining venues
of Three Palms, overlooking the golf course and offering all inclusive
or á la carte menu, and Luna di Mare for gourmet Northern Italian
cuisine, accompanied by an extensive wine list. These are complemented
by three bars for nightlife entertainment and two swim-up bars, catering
for all moods and occasions.
Resort activities start at the large private sandy beach fronting the
hotel, where a range of water sports are available. Rose Hall also boasts
the Caribbean's newest and most spectacular waterpark, Sugar Mill Falls,
a tennis centre with six floodlit courts, three connected landscaped pools
with whirlpool spas, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
But Rose Hall's hallmark is its championship golf course, Cinnamon Hill.
Formerly known as Three Palms, this stunning layout dating back to the
70's was recently completely revamped by much acclaimed American architect
Robert von Hagge. Spanning 400 lush acres between the Blue Mountains and
the Caribbean Sea, the course offers two contrasting nines. The front
nine run on open flat grounds, links style along the shore while the back
nine climbs up into the hills between the dense foliage of the tropical
forest.
The golf course has retained the heritage of the land, with remnants of
the 18th century plantation in the form of aqueducts, gravestones and
ruins of historic homes that provides a rewarding experience that goes
beyond golf. The caddie programme run by Rose Hall only enhances the experience,
both for the inside knowledge of the course and historic insights provided
by the knowledgeable caddies. Adjacent to Cinnamon Hill but under different
ownership, White Witch is another Robert von Hagge stunning design extending
over high grounds above the sea.
